What's saved in your browser

To make the games work, your browser keeps your display name, a random player ID, a code for rejoining your last room, your Mealprepdle Daily results and streak, and your analytics setting. When Mealprepdle analytics is on, it also keeps an anonymous analytics ID and a note of the link that first brought you there. You can clear all of this at any time in your browser's settings.

What our servers handle

• Multiplayer rooms: your display name, player ID, plates and scores, so everyone in the room can play. A room is deleted about five minutes after everyone has left.
• Daily Plate: your plate is sent to be scored and is not stored.
• Your IP address is held in memory for up to 15 minutes to prevent abuse. Our server logs don't record names or IP addresses.
• Our hosting and content delivery providers process standard request data, including IP addresses, to run and protect the service.

Mealprepdle analytics

Outside Europe, Mealprepdle uses PostHog to count plays, with an anonymous ID stored in your browser. It records which screens you view, whether you start and finish games, your scores and streak, whether you share or invite, the campaign or website that brought you here, and basic device details such as browser, screen size, language and approximate location. We keep it for up to one year.

It never collects your name, room codes, the foods you pick, or anything you type. There are no ads or advertising trackers, and we never sell data.

Analytics is switched off entirely for visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland.

Your choices

Turn analytics off at any time under "Analytics settings" at the bottom of Mealprepdle. This also deletes its ID from your browser. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, analytics starts switched off.
